Why I Love to Write
Writing is more than just a hobby for me; it’s a passion that breathes life into my thoughts and ideas. With two books already published and a third one in the works, I’ve discovered real joy in translating the whirl of thoughts in my head into coherent, meaningful sentences and paragraphs for others.
When I write, I feel like I’m on a new adventure. I always start with an outline and go from there. That outline always gets changed and rearranged until everything comes together both in my head and on my screen. I thrive in the quiet solitude where my mind can wander freely, unfettered by the noise and distractions of the outside world. It’s in these moments of silence that my best ideas emerge, flowing almost effortlessly from my mind to the page.
Being a “baby writer,” as I fondly refer to myself, has been an exhilarating learning experience. Despite the challenges and uncertainties that come with this creative pursuit, I’ve found immense satisfaction in seeing my work come to life. The positive reviews and the fact that my books have sold are affirmations that my words resonate with readers, and those affirmations fuel me to keep writing.
My decision to start writing wasn’t hindered by fear. As a natural risk-taker, I embraced the unknown with open arms. It’s thrilling to put my thoughts out into the world sharing my ideas and experiences with others who might be interested. That feeling was far greater than any apprehension I might have felt. Writing and publishing became a delightful side hustle, not just for the sake of it but because it was a necessity for my mental well-being. I had to get these ideas out of my head and into the world. I wanted to feel like I could offer hope to people who have had the same struggles I’ve had.
Connecting with readers, whether through my email list or those who stumble upon my books, has been rewarding. The feedback and support I’ve received have been incredibly motivating. It’s heartwarming to know that my words have found a place in the hearts of others and that my stories have provided some joy or insight.
Writing is an adventure, a risk, and a joy all rolled into one. It’s a journey I embark on with every new idea and every new article. I am grateful to share my words with my readers. Thank you for joining me on this path, for reading my work, and for supporting my passion. Here’s to many more adventures to come!
